Hornady are the next best but they don't make the crimp die.
You can buy just the CH4D crimp die directly from them. https://chtoolanddie.com/calibers/5 ...
We haven't had a chance to stock them since all the covid bs.

Re: The BEST WAY to Load the 5.7 x 28mm
After shooting my reloads once, i find the necks (every 5th one) braking off in my die. This is not normal. There is something wrong with your process, your dies, or the brass. The resolution of this is to anneal the brass. That destroys the coating. Anyone found a suitable replacement? 24hrs of co...

Re: 2021 SS190 with Steel "jacket"? not just the steel penetrator??? & SS192? listed in 2021 FN Doc???
Brass head stamps aren't always a good way to date rounds with FNH ammo. Brass is made by the millions for years on end and there is NO change in the head stamp. Well these are lighter meaning faster. These came to me directly from Belgium around 2000 when I was just starting EA from someone who wor...

Interesting, I was looking for that document to verify on my desktop to confirm, couldn't and got sidetracked by work. Looks like my memory has failed and I was wrong. I do remember sectioning SS190 and it did not have a copper washed jacket. It was NOT SS190 I sectioned but this lighter prototype r...

Re: 2021+ SS190 with "Steel JACKET"?!? not just the penetrator??? & 2021 production SS192????
Most likely a typo. The SS190 does not use copper washed steel. In fact the SS190 uses the same exact jacket and aluminum core as the SS192/SS195/SS198 just with an approximately 2 gr steal penetrator in the normal empty section of those other projectiles. Sorry you're wrong on both points. The 5.7 operates differently than any other cartridge, even slightly differently than it's nearest cousin the 4.6HK. 1) The FsN is a delayed blow back and NOT a straight blow back. 2) The 5.7 does not need a fully supported chamber. To be fair, shooting through a piece of neck is not new for the 5.7 platform. As Matt states it happened to some of the other guns during this test also. It just didn't blow them up.
Had it been one of the pistols like the FsN it would have blown the mag out.

The Lee re sizer puts a taper on the case that gives P90/PS90 fits.
CH4D and Hornady resizer is a one time hit.
Lee crimp is pure shit, CH4D is the way to go crimp wise.
If you're stripping the coating off you will have issues.

threading the barrel with their gas system won't work as it currently designed . The issue is more with how deep the threads go into your device and less how well it's centered on the barrel via the shroud.

Dimensionally the S190 bullets are the same as 27gr 192/195/198. Just a little heavier. So any load data for the 27gr will work just knock it down .2 to .4 of a grain. I would start with .4 reduction of a grain.

FYI when you sage the primer pocket, do it just enough to get rid of the crimp. Fully swaging the pocket will have your primers popping out on 1x loads. 5.7 is hell on primer pockets and the more you work them the more to take away the life of your cases.

Re: Recommend a suppressor to not damage stock
So you are running the full lenght barrel? I have a solution if so. I am very close to javingy threaded barrel shroud ready to go. The big thing is though, it will imcrease by 5x the factory blow baxk delay. This should go a very long way to helping PS90"s no matter what can or ammo they are using.

Re: Elite Ammunition Brass Coating
I will make a video. It's pretty basic. You spray on a light coat. You let is set and cure for at least a week. In fact the longer you let it cure the better it will be. This is why when you get SS198 the is very hard and when you get the American Eagle ammo that was rushed out the door the coating ...

You can coat the fully loaded round. In fact it seals the primer.

It's taking more time to figure out how to apply the Hazmat fees through the website without having them applied to everything.

Have you seen my detailed explanation of the S&W and how it's gas boosting system works? There is way to much to retype here to explain the reduced shoulder movement. Just watch my vid.

Re: Any actual decent ammunition out there yet?
OK, welcome to the club. SS190 sucks for carry as it's only a FMJ. I punches nice holes but does little tissue damage. My ammo, Elite Ammuntion, T6B is the best armor and body destryoing ammo on the market and has been for well over a decade. See here, Elite Ammunition 3rd Party Tests Playlist https...
