Re: Serious problem with my new pistol, after 46 rounds

Yesterday I called FNH Service again, and this time spoke to Mike. Within a few minutes I had the packing label email, and got the weapon shipped out to the shop via UPS.

Hopefully I see it back in a few weeks, and give it another try.

Update: Serious problem with my new pistol, after 46 rounds

I called the FNH service number early this morning. The gentleman that answered was nice enough, but sort of "non interested." He said he'd send me an email with shipping label and instructions, and I might get the gun repaired and returned in a few weeks. That was 12 hours ago. I have received no e...

Re: Serious problem with my new pistol, after 46 rounds

Yep, I believe you are correct M.E., it does appear to match the bottom half of the firing pin interrupt level. And that would explain why I can still pull the trigger, click, but no fire. All I can guess is it was a flaw in the metal manufacturing. Pulling the trigger was smooth before and after th...

Re: Serious problem with my new pistol, after 46 rounds

I believe the firing pin is still in place, but I may be wrong. With the slide locked open, nothing is sticking out of the hole where the firing pin comes out. But I do see something inside that hole, recessed maybe 1/32 inch. I have a picture of the piece that broke/fell out, but can't seem to figu...

Serious problem with my new pistol, after 46 rounds

I just got my new FiveSeven last Tuesday, and my son and I took it to a range in Spring Texas this morning to fire for the first time. Before leaving for the range, I did the first time cleaning, and everything looked and worked fine. First mag of 20 rounds (standard NFH 197's) was great. Ditto for ...
