I took my new Kimber Solo Carry DC out to the range yesterday. I have mixed feeling about it. It functioned flawlessly for the first 85 rounds... unless I used the extended 8-round magazines. The 6-round magazines worked great. The 8-round would hang up at least on the first shot, sometimes on the s...

Antother relevant bit of info on this topic... the last two handguns I have purchased from Bud's were shipped UPS 2nd Day Air. So that must be OK to do. That would definitely be cheaper than overnight.

Re: Aimpoint Micro T1 2 MOA or 4 MOA Dot?
Nice. I'm torn between a T1 2MOA or a TA33HG for my MK18 whenever it gets outta jail. I just ordered a 4 MOA T-1 for my Benelli M4 shotgun. I am taking the Trijicon RMR off of it. I need a sight that works in all weather conditions on my shotgun. I also got the LRP quick release lever so I can take...

Re: Aimpoint Micro T1 2 MOA or 4 MOA Dot?
I got my H1 today. That is a really neat sight. I am impressed with it so far. I like it so much, I am considering buying another one (or two) for my shotguns. Also, Botach changed the link above. I got the 2 MOA H1, the low profile mount, and a spacer block that is no longer shown for $499. This is...

I just got my Aimpoint H1 micro sight. Having seen both the Trijicon RMR and the Aimpoint now, I like the Aimpoint better. I think the RMR is better suited for pistols, but the Aimpoint is much better for a shotgun in my opinion. I am putting the Aimpoint on an AR rifle, but I am considering buying ...

I thought that Magnetospeed unit was pretty cool as well. Most of my data collection is for rifles. I have two other chronos to use if I need them for pistols. This one looks like a snap to set up. I wouldn't need to hold up the firing line at the range while I mount a chrono to a tripod and attempt...

One point that I have not seen made is the value of having a member for life. Even if life memberships were selling for $100, the fact that the NRA has dramatically increased their membership, and will have many of those members on their roles for life, gives the NRA additional clout and power. I picked up a Smith & Wesson Governor from Ray Tanner (one of our site sponsors). My initial impressions (I have not fired it yet) are very good. I put Geissele triggers in all of my ARs. I really like the quality and feel. I am also a fan of two stage triggers, which these are. I think their SSA is a great trigger, but it runs about $200. In a way, I can sympathize with officers, but I also think they were wrong. A rational person would think this guy is a little off because he chose to carry his AR-15 this way, but at the same time, I don't think he broke a law - just made someone (and probably them) uncomfortable. I don't think the...

200 yds and under, get the 4 MOA. The Aimpoint is more robust than the EOTech. I have left EOTechs on and they have killed the battery. I have left Aimpoints on for weeks. That is a neat setup. The rifle is set up so I can take it on trips (in the car). It is for defensive purposes, so I would expect it would probably not ever be used at ranges past 200 yards. Hopefully, I never have to use it for anything but target practice. This is the setup I have: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/pr...

I want to purchase an Aimpoint Micro T1, but I have never even seen one in person. I have no idea which dot would be better for a Colt 6920 AR-15 that has been modified to fit in a briefcase.

The Leupold Rifleman scope rail has a groove down the center. You can barely see the top of the stock sights with it installed. The sights are really low profile on these rifles.
