Great picture, and I'm 100% with Grimm, you're getting hot there, necks look to be dirty as well. Any dents in your case mouths? Unique is fun for cheap plinking powder, but you might want to find some True Blue if you want to play near the top. Loudshot seems to work ok, so long as you don't mind y...

Yeah, I shot my FsN on a pistol range once, lost a lot of brass, and the concrete tears up the coating. Just spent way too much time chasing all calibers of brass for my taste.

I'm guessing FsN as your cases went flying. I've played with Unique a little myself in my FsN. 3.8gr under a 52ish grain cast boolit gave me an average velocity of 1448fps. 3.6gr under a 55gr plated Frontier bullet gave me about 1299, ES numbers were in the hundreds, and my primers were flattening. ...

Kiran, I don't think you understand the FBI jello standard. It relies heavily on expansion to meet it's criteria, so of course the 195/198 will fail, they're Hague compliant non-expanding bullets. The only reason that there is a jello test in the first place is to compare apples to apples between di...

Good subject to bring up, something I've looked into some as well. Interesting. I'll have to play with mine some this winter and see what happens. My XPS2 is on the house gun, so a 4MOA shift is still only like a half inch, and with the big glass, I really don't think there's anything faster at that range other than a shotgun. The TLR2G underneath is a pretty good ...

No trouble with my Axiom/FsN combo that isn't there when the can is off. Hoping it's just a break in issue with the new threaded barrel.
If anyone has the Gemtech around Denver, I'm up for a showdown. After that we'll put them both on my 22/45 and see how that goes.

First of all, a full auto 5.56 BCG isn't a restricted item. The full length shroud is required to trip the auto sear, but you need an auto trigger pack in the first place to have the sear that requires tripping. Second, someone fill me in, is the AR57 upper just a bolt on part to a standard Mil lowe...

Safes are a great deterrent for dumb criminals or crimes of opportunity. Keeping thousands of dollars worth of guns in your closet, they can just be picked up and walked off with. Flake powder should ignite just fine from a normal primer. Hell, a pistol primer would probably do it. It's certainly on the slower end of suitable powders for the 5.7, but it's not mad slow. At this point I'm over my head and I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction. Hotter primer will ligh...

Good on ya for getting a chrono. As you can see in your avg velocities, you gained ~20 fps with each increase in charge weight, until 6.4 where you gained zero. You only shot 5, but it gives you an idea of where you're at. I'd call 6.3 your top load, and even consider 6.2 depending on temperature an...

I'll weigh in here as I've got three cans and an FsN. First, although I've not tried it since I don't have a spacer, I'm sure my Tirant 9 would knock a considerable amount of sound down if I put it on my FsN. Yeah, run a ladder from 6.2 to 6.6. Yeah, your neck dents don't look to be caused by the pistol, they're too rough, maybe the walls or the concrete floor. I do see a little more shoulder movement than I'd like, but you'll have to compare that to factory loads to be sure. My new barrel does it to even the lightest loads, so I've lost o...

Yeah, the can is going to fool the pistol into thinking it has a longer barrel, dwell time will be longer (not sure if that applies to blowback designs) and pressure probably a smidge higher when all the parts start moving. I wish I could find a way to shorten my ejection pattern, I'm tired of havin...

I get shoulder movement like that with the new barrel in my FsN. I'll have to take a second look and see if I've got a ring going on in there. That would suck if my brass goes in the garbage after 2 firings.
