Safe distance shooting at moving/angled steel target

Post by jalicea » 30 Dec 2024, 18:56

I am new to this caliber with an M&P and a DBX57. What would be the minimum distance to shoot at steel targets that are either angled down on a spring or swinging?

Depends, do you want to shoot through them or have then survive?

20 feet is was I use if there is a chance that the 5.7 won't shoot through it.

As for ricochets, I've been seen 20ft bounce back & draw blood. I've been hit at over 50ft but I barely felt it.

Contrary to popular belief, you CAN fix stupid - it's just illegal.
