May I ask where did you get your Australian L1A1, I would like to have one if you think they are a buy. May I ask how much was it?

the rifle on the right is a Soviet SVT40 7.62x54R.
I found the Aussie rifle on gunbroker, a Florida dealer had it on consignment at his shop.....I had to get the wood stock set and that was expensive at 265.00, as the rifle had British Marynol plastic stocks on it...the Aussies used ONLY wood the whole time they used the Lithgow produced rifle. Its all Aussie Sept for the Australian pattern receiver made by DSA, and the Piston rod is US made for 922 compliance. The wood is produced in the US as well by silver cresent. But at least its back in the config that it really was during its govt service. works great on gas setting 7....the rifle as it came from gunbroker worked out to about 1200.00 but I knew what I was getting, and what I was going to do with it. totally pleased.
