FN SCAR PDW (FNH USA-USA)

The FN SCAR Personnal Defense Weapon (PDW) is the latest range of SCAR. Compact and lightweight, it is for gunners of crew served weapons, drivers, crew armor, etc.. SCAR PDW is chambered for the cartridge 5.56 x 45 mm NATO, but its performance is increased when employing the new cartridge M 855 A1.

SCAR PDW was presented for the first time at AUSA 2010. He had a short barrel, ending with a cover open flame. Lacrosse SCAR has been replaced by a retractable stock along the body of the weapon. The top of the chamber is provided with a fastening rail picatinny type for mounting sighting systems. It also has rails on both sides of the handguard and under was.

Because of its short length of the weapon and its firepower, it can be used by bodyguards. At the lower end of a protrusion was allows a good positioning of the hand. Control devices are type ambidextrous.

Simple. Cartridge length; inspect OAL via drum width.

Also... if you compare how the tab just to the top left of the mag release lines up with the (what looks like) a pin above it. The .308's are offset slightly... you can see it in this pic:

There hard to tell apart in photos... that is, when a HUGE DRUM is in the way of the magwell :laugh:

I saw that exact thing today at my local gun show. Guy had about five SCAR's laying on the table, 2 16's, and 3 17's, all side-by-side. I sat there a good 5 minutes drooling... was contemplating offering him $4500 out the door for the pair, a 16 and 17, both black.

Then I remembered I don't have that kind of money to blow (at least until my tax return comes in).

Something to note, someone had a NIB FDE SCAR 16 with a sticker price of $2199 on it. Obviously the price is falling dramatically on the 5.56 versions. I forsee sub-$2000 SCAR's before the year is out.

You know me, I love a good 5.56 SBR PDW. I think the 5.56 does its best work as a PDW, and not as a battle rifle, just my opinion.

Why oh why am I stuck moving to a state that bans everything. That SBR is sexy, a .308 that small is going to kick tho XD should be fun.
