Ammo FNX45
I shot my FNH X45 for the first time and it jammed all the time. After reading some of the post I changed ammo to Blazer brass/aluminum 230gr and no jams. The Federal 185 Winchester 230 jammed. I don't like a limited type of ammo to use is their a solution to this? Is it the clips or the length of the ammo?

A possible solution is to start reloading your own ammunition. It may be the springs in the magazines (not clips), I prefer to upgrade mine to +10% most of the time.

Contrary to popular belief, you CAN fix stupid - it's just illegal.

Re: Ammo FNX45
You asked it the COAL is causing feeding issues; please measure a few cartridges and let us know what COALs you are dealing with. Then, we might be able to answer your question.
I know with my FNP-45, Winchester White Box 230gr FMJ caused feeding issues. Measuring the cartridges indicated that they were on the long side of spec, with some being a bit longer than MAX COAL. Ran them through the bullet seat die on a Dillon 550B to set them back to "normal" and then they all shot fine.
One round I have never got to feed well is 200gr lead SWC. The feed ramp angle is just steep enough that the "shoulder" of the wadcutter gets wedged against the top of the chamber.

Re: Ammo FNX45
I have only ever shot Winchester White Box 230 Grain from my FNX 45 and I have never have any issues. I have also cycled Federal Hydro-shock, and CCI #9 Shot Shell through it. Never an issue while I shot it. My brother did do something with it while shooting some of the CCI ammo and it failed to fully eject the spent casing, but I never had the issue and I put twice as much through it than he did.

Loaded 230 REM FMJ 45 ACP to 1.240 over 5.0gr ZIP. Failure to eject on every shot. Any suggestions.
