Ar15 or Ps90

Post by Rouge701 » 17 Dec 2011, 06:33

Hey everyone, im debating on getting a new rifle but I'm stuck between the ar15 and ps90 platform. What would be better for a SHTF/ Pdw type weapon. That has better accuracy out to medium ranges?

Define medium ranges.

Debated at length, and the only true solution is go with both. At least it made me feel better.

:agree:

Plus... go with an AR-10 variant. Between the 3... you're covered and it definitely made me feel better!

Of course, YMMV.

Necrothread - don't want to create a new one just for this: Why not both?!
Been playing around building on a couple lowers I bought last year & last night, I merged an AR15 & a PS90 :D (Hera CQR stock)

Foregrip was a lot cheaper than the stock so I figured, "What the hell?" & got both. The stock looks ok but not sure I like the foregrip.
One con, you can't open up the AR to clean it with the grip against the magwell but one notch out will allow it to open enough to clean; of course you can always pull both pins & separate it if you want. Also, the stock is kinda short for a scoped weapon (IMO) so I'll probably change it out & put the collapsible back on.

The foregrip is 7 3/8" long if you're thinking of putting it on an AR pistol or SBR.

Kinda felt like one too, already put the other stock back on it. The CQR foregrip didn't look so bad after that but still felt wrong so, PDQ I went back to the AFG for the AR :D

Might still use the CQR stocks if I make a AR pistol or SBR someday.
