USG/MKII compatibility

Howdy. Long time no see.

Can a USG frame accept a MKII slide, and can a MKII slide accept a USG barrel? I want a MKII slide with front serrations and the new sights but I don't want to buy a whole new pistol (and I like the grey controls).

Much appreciated.

I believe the answer was no.

MKII slide will work on USG/MK1. First few had issues. Now what eever you do DO NOT INSTALL a USG/MK1/IOM etc. slide and barrel on a MK2. You will be sending it to me to un fuck.

Can MKII slide accept USG barrel? I'd love to try to get a MKII slide from FN and drop the USG barrel in there, and throw it on my USG frame.

Goal is to get new sights and front serrations for as cheap as possible!

Yes it should. The first few MK2 slides that came out had issues but now it's not an issue.
