New here and won't post much but am looking for a little insight
I have not bought the Banshee, but prefer to reload so am trying to make sure it's something I can tackle prior to the plunge. The Banshee is a delayed blowback (in my understanding similar to the PS90) but uses FN pistol mags. Is the case coating just as important to preserve with this setup. To narrow my question- should I alter my standard case prep routine AND should I be sure to only attain brass via reputable factory loaded boxes vs raw brass purchase?
Secondary matters:
*Ch4d dies seem to be the thing
*Care for brass length/resizing
*Care for specific powder charge/starting low end of spec sheet
*Some talk on primer selection?
Have I missed anything else major?
I am looking to shoot 35-40 gr varmint bullets at melancholy to mediocre velocities. (Pest control on the farm; NOT needing high power here) in case it matters.
Thanks for helping.
New to 5.7, but not to reloading. Intriguing little devil of a round...

The biggest thing is NOT tumbling. 20 minutes in a luke warm water with 1 part simple green to 5 parts water. Hand agitate ever 5 minutes.
Some folks like to deprime and resize separately. This works nicely since you can wash the brass after to not only remove combustion residue, you can clean all the lube off.

I contacted CMMG regarding reloads in the Banshee. They stated emphatically that their gun will blow up and there is no warranty.
Re: Reloading for CMMG Banshee short variant
I also was wondering about this. I have a lot of brass that the coating is coming off. Since the CMMG is radially delayed blowback, does it need the coating? Without the coating I could anneal the brass just like my bolt action 5.7. panzermk2 could I strip my brass and anneal it only for the Banshee sub sonic loads?

You have to have the coating end of story and the Banshee is designed to work with and need it.
Also annealing really does not help because the primer pocket give out. Before you ask YES even with sub sonic loads the primer gets beat up pretty hard with the 5.7.

You coating should not start coming off in large amounts until you get to about 5x.
Make sure you clean the brass right, also polishing lightly your chamber and your sizing dies goes a long way to protecting the coating.
